Local Homeschool Groups
Many communities have local homeschool groups. Some may get together to have specific group classes. Others may host regular activities and trips.
Often these local groups are an invaluable resource for homeschooling families and those that are interested in learning more about homeschooling.
Student group activites can give homeschoolers a chance to not only add some additional educational value to their homeschool but also the opportunity to socialize with other homeschooling students that share this common bond.
Look for local homeschooling groups by Googling your local city and the word "homeschool". You may also try social media websites such as Facebook. Often times homeschool groups are working with a limited budget, so they may opt to use Facebook instead of a website.
Additionally, ask other homeschooling families in your area if they know of any homeschool groups they can recommend.
